Saturday
This weekend I also saw two movies. (You know my life is coming back together when I'm
current on my movies!) The first was Nights in Rodanthe. I saw it by myself. Because I wanted to. There were people I could've gone with, there were other things I could've done at the time, but going to the movies by myself is something I like to be able to do. And something I make sure I can STILL do every now and then. (One of my sisters can relate to this)
I did not really like this movie. But I'm not really a fan of sappy romance movies to begin with. Something about falling completely and crazy in love after knowing someone 4 days just doesn't sit right with me. I can't get into it. And listening to cheesy love letters that would never be written in real life gets annoying. I can't help but think about all the women in the audience who will want that in reality and mistreat the man they have because HE doesn't write them such gooey letters. ew. I did love admiring the little cottage bed and breakfast in the Carolinas and the beautiful kitchen cabinets. Something about the cute vintage southern charm of the Carolinas really intrigues me...
The second movie of the weekend was Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais. I can't give it a high enough endorsement! I was laughing so hard so many times. And yet it was serious and made me think. An all-around great film which I highly recommend. (I didn't see this one alone, that would've detracted from the hilarious-ness)Great music too! (Which Way Your Heart Will Go by Mason Jennings, Please Be Patient With Me by Wilco, The Heart of Life by John Mayer were my particular favorites.)

Wow, this was the best reward for waking up at 6:20am. NOT my favorite time. But as a reward, you were up-dating your blog, LIVE, so everytime I came back, there was something new to read. I feel much better already about my day, and the fact that it started too early.
Can't wait to see Ghost Town. I am such an enormous Ricky Garvais fan.
i like to go to the movies by myself too, although it doesn't happen too often anymore. now i'm so behind i haven't heard of either of those. thanks for the recommendation.
I haven't heard of Ghost Town before, but I will have to put that on my list of movies to see.
I like your blog! I like your insights and comments and I'm going to add you to my blog list :)
