Good in theory, but not in reality...

#1 - Homemade Kettle corn...

Failed attempt number three displayed above.

#2 - Me in striped shirts...

I love them always, but I should wear them never. So I compromise by taking a photo in the dressing room.

Better in reality than in theory:
The fortunes in this month's batch of fortune cookies from PF Changs.
Seriously, go get one.

I totally love striped shirts, and every time I buy one I think about the very basic fashion rule I am breaking. Horizontal stripes make you look fat, I get that, but I really really love them anyways.

I think you looked really good in that shirt, and could most definitely wear it. Seriously consider going back to get it. :)

Seriously you look amazing in that striped shirt. I think you need to rethink your rule.

Dear Rachel, I'm Annee's friend from college, remember me? I'm sorry to be stalking you, but I just had to comment about on how to make homemade kettle corn. It is deliciously simple. You must invest in a whirley popper.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004SU35/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1WDFE06JPWHFN7G8VBDA&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

Once you have your whirly popper, coat the bottom of it with olive oil. Add 1/2 c to 3/4 c white popcorn (there is a HUGE difference between yellow and white and I will pop ONLY white) AND 1/4 c white sugar.

Over Hi heat on the stove, crank your whirley popper until the kernels start popping like crazy and you can't crank any more. At this point you can turn off the heat and remove the whirley popper from the stove.

In a large bowl, pour 2 to 3 cups of the hot popcorn. Spray with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle with kosher salt. Repeat this until all your popcorn is sufficiently salted.

Enjoy!!!

Stay warm in DC!

Peace out - Liz
