Do you need a good book to read?

And by " to read" I mean "to listen to", obv.

I saw Blindside back at Christmastime along with the rest of the world. Then I read the book. I was so impressed! The best part? Michael Oher would never have been able to go to college for football without spending a summer taking BYU's online classes to bring his grades up. Michael's dad Sean Twohy referred to it as The Great Mormon Grade Graft.

I read another of Michael Lewis' books a few months ago, Moneyball, which was also interesting. I'm not a huge sports person but each book was well written and kept my attention. They're short and sweet so check them out.

Brittany was kind enough to loan Dawn and me her advance Oscars copy of Blindside so I could re-watch the movie after finishing the book. A Saturday doesn't get much better than that does it?

Actually it does. I recently reread The Great Gatsby as preparation to see the Washington Ballet perform an interpretation of the book. What could make ballet more enjoyable? Jazz! Who would have thought.

Don't you hate it when people cop-out and post about entertainment rather than real life?
Me too...

P.S. The hearse is still around...

it's about time for me to check out audible.com. i think of it frequently but always in the moments when i wish i already had something to listen to and not when i have time to sign up and figure it out.

Sarah use my login info and test out my audible account! Or next time I see you I'll hook up your phone and put a bunch on there. We'll make this happen finally.
