Then we headed on down the road to Brussels for some quick antique shopping before our flight to Nice, France. It was the perfect situation because mom was driving back to Frankfurt and could transport our treasures safely to her house. There were some seriously awesome chandeliers. I may have secured 4 of them... Such good deals, and such beautiful pieces. (The pictures are all on my phone which is internet-less for the moment so I'll have to post them later. But they're awesome!)

I also completely fell in love with a couch. Mom and I are scheming about the best way to get it to Frankfurt so it can be moved home with all their stuff later this summer. I could cry because the thought makes me so happy. If you saw the couch you'd cry for me too.
We parted ways with mom and boarded a quick flight down to the Cote d'Azur. When we walked into the hotel lobby MELISSA was standing right there!! She bravely made her way down from Paris on the train today, being all alone on her very first trip to Europe. We're very glad to have her join us.

are you wearing the jeru flip flops your mom sent you?
Hahaha yes I am! They come in handy as great travel shoes. She had no idea I actually loved the items she put in that package so she was very happy to see them (and the headbands she sent me which I've been wearing around.) Good eye. Although the crocs and the chacos didn't make it on this trip :-)
Yesterday I wore a "jeru shirt" around the city (bright pink one). My little sis was giving me a hard time about all the jeru clothes I got and the fact that I'll prob never wear any of them again so I had to prove her wrong.
I've been missing Jerusalem a lot recently. I'm sure you feel the same. This summer won't be quite as delightful.
yes, i definitely miss it too. it really was a once in a lifetime opportunity, which makes me sad. way to go on the half marathon in bruges! you're amazing! and yes please to getting together when you get back! definitely lots to talk about!!
Four chandeliers?! I'm impressed and jealous. And left wondering how you'll work them all into your new apartment (because I know you're going to try). Can't wait to see your new (old) couch-- makes me wish we'd be roommates this fall so we could both benefit from the good find. :)
I love reading about your amazing adventures...your trip just looks absolutely breathtaking!
I love it!
I wish we were still going to be roommates next year so I could live in a home with some lovely chandeliers...
