Monkey Island could also be called Monkey Rehab. This center rehabilitates monkeys who have been previously captured and kept in peoples' houses, helping them learn how to live in the wild again. There were so many cute pregnant monkeys or new mother monkeys with babies on their back.

Red-faced monkey wanted the nut in my hand.

Here is (what I call) Mr. Aussie Shorts. Him and his wife were a part of our group for many of the adventures. His shorts were always way too short for the climbing in and out of boats... Trust me on that one.

Leaving Antonios with my Book of Mormon before leaving the lodge.
(Not sure which he'll value more, that or all the iphone tips I showed him...)

So few people could pull off wearing a cardigan in the jungle, yet somehow I couldn't picture you there any other way. :)
Haha thanks, I think..
In my defense, the rain forest is totally schizophrenic and while it's raining (which it was just before then) you really need some kind of coverage.
Plus that dress is way too stripe-y to wear on its own... :-)
That monkey on your shoulder scares me a little. I didn't have any pleasant run ins with the wild life of South America while I was there. I love that striped dress--where did you get it?
H&M. $10. And actually the sleeves are my favorite part which you can't see there.
You can pick one up next week in DC!!
