Today we embarked on our long journey back through the Sinai desert to Jerusalem. Our bus pulled away from the hotel promptly at 5am. Although I came pretty close, I was not the last one on the bus as I had feared! But only because I showered and packed the night before and woke up early to make a phone call.
We passed through 6 checkpoints at the Egypt/Israel border before being allowed to re-enter the country. I would not want to get stuck in Egypt. It’s just NOT the happiest place on earth. With Egypt behind me, I only have 2 empty pages left in my passport. Some of that will be filled with Jordan and my return to the states. Life goal: fill up a couple passports before age 25 = done!

Our program is so jammed packed, which I love and hate at the same time. They decided to break up our long journey across the desert with snorkeling in the Red Sea on the beach of Eilot. This was a great detour! I haven’t been snorkeling since Tahiti and I must say it was quite superior! Apparently the Red Sea is ranked second in the world behind Australia for best snorkeling, go figure.

Once finished, it was back on the bus to the Kibbutz where we stopped for dinner. I’ve been sad about forgetting my rainbows and needed a pair of flip flops to use in the center. How cute are these sandals I found for $4! Perfect.
Gotta love jumping photos! I miss Chad & Joseph from Asia in these moments

Wow that's crazy. I had no idea the Red Sea was such a hot spot for snorkeling. Were there many other people there? What does an Arabic beach look like? Probably not topless like in Europe.
I love the shout out to Chad and Joseph! I felt the same way.
